Ondrej Cibák Water Slalom Course, Liptovský Mikuláš Hobby / Race LR Start Max. length – 290 cm minimum weight – 15 kg edges taped kayak / paddle / spray skirt / helmet / life jacket Start – LR Start calm water – 2 buoys 2 banners for Tukes whitewater – 10 gates (Go around the gates in the direction of the arrow) Destination – the right bank at the lower end of the canal Length – 1.29 km Failure to pass through the gate – 3 min No interaction with the banner = 5 min missing a buoy – 20 min A kayaker who completes the entire course without getting out of the kayak(from the start to gate 10, inclusive) must run to the finish line on shore with the kayak.
Kayak
The event begins with a sprint to the kayak and navigating two buoys in calm water in any order.
You then continue into a designated whitewater channel, where you must pass through 10 gates and touch two banners.
The goal is to run into the finish corridor at the confluence of the channels.
